Ninh Binh leads V.League after a big win over Thanh Hoa

Ninh Binh Clubhad an impressive performance when defeating Dong A Thanh Hoa 4-0 at home in round 2 of V.League 2025-2026.
On the evening of August 23,Ninh Binhclub hosted Thanh Hoa in the second round of V.League 2025-2026.
In the 31st minute, Daniel Da Silva opened the scoring for Ninh Binh with an accurate shot after the ball bounced out of the cross. At the end of the first half, Gustavo Henrique doubled the gap with a sprint and then the ball skillfully defeated goalkeeper Y El Nie.
In the second half, Henrique continued to make his mark with the third goal for the home team in the 63rd minute, before Da Silva completed his double, sealing a 4-0 victory in the 70th minute.
In addition to 4 goals, Ninh Binh also created many dangerous opportunities that made Thanh Hoa’s defense struggle to defend.
The away team also had a few responses but failed to take advantage, in which Rimario twice put the ball into the net of goalkeeper Dang Van Lam but were both rejected by VAR.
This result helped Ninh Binh have 6 points after 2 matches, temporarily taking the lead in the rankings. Foreign players Daniel Da Silva and Gustavo Henrique became the highlight with explosive performances, bringing the difference to the rookie team.
Meanwhile, Thanh Hoa continued to show many problems in both defense and attack, thereby still not having any wins in the new season.
