Thanh Hoa women’s volleyball team accepts relegation race

The Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement women’svolleyballteam reached the semi-finals of the tournament last year but this year they have to participate in the relegation race.

The Thanh Hoa women’svolleyballteam ended the second phase of the 2025 National Championship with a 3-0 victory over the Vietinbank team on October 9 at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium.

However, the final victory was not enough to help the Thanh team qualify for the semi-finals this year.

Last year, the Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement team entered the semi-finals and ranked 4th overall. Being present in this year’s relegation battle forces coach Bui Huy Son and the players to keep the best results to successfully stay in the league.

In the second phase of this year’s tournament, the Thanh Hoa women’s team will have 14 official players including Ngo Thu Thuy, Le Thi Minh Khue, Nguyen Thi Hien, Bui Thi Nga, Nguyen Van Ha, Quach Thi Hoai An, Hoang Thi Thao, Quach Kim Luyen, Trinh Thi Huyen, Doan Thi Xuan, Bui Thi Thu Trang, Pham Thi Nhu Quynh, Bui Thi Huyen and foreign player hardeman.

Coach Bui Huy Son once said that the National Volleyball Championship has been reduced to 8 women’s teams, which will make the professional competition very fierce.

In addition to the professional factor, the Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement women’s team did not have the best results due to the impact on the players. If they successfully stay in the league this year, this team will build a plan to return to the top group of the national tournament in 2026. In the squad of Long Son Thanh Hoa Cement, players Hoang Thi Thao and Doan Thi Xuan were once national players. This year, player Quach Kim Luyen was called up to the U21 Vietnam women’s team.
